In this engaging Minecraft themed early math lesson students will learn to add items from 1-10. Learning by touching and counting. They will learn that each number represents a quantity and how to quantify groups of items and add them. They will also practice counting and writing their numbers as they add. Students will be provided with printouts to follow along but will also have opportunity to use touch screen if they have that available to write numbers on the slides. This class will be conducted in a warm, fun and interactive setting allowing the students to learn along with their peers. This class is Minecraft themed only and we will not be playing the Minecraft game.

Printouts will be provided for students to print and bring to class along with a pencil or crayons.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
