If you are a new math detective, welcome to my class. If you have taken a math mystery class with me before, welcome back! I am a fun and animated teacher who loves to use pretend scenarios in my lessons. In this math mystery class, we will be trying to find out how the apples are appearing. The math detectives will be given a problem, or two, and some clues that they will need to solve the mystery. Your child may also learn a little bit about apples in this class. Learners will need to have some prior knowledge of addition and subtraction. Learners will also need to know how to count up to 20. This class is geared mostly toward advanced kindergarten and first grade students.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to solve a math problem while applying their math strategies of addition and subtraction.
