Math U See is a complete, comprehensive K-12 math curriculum that uses manipulatives to illustrate and teach math concepts. Using a multi-sensory, mastery-based approach, students of all learning styles can benefit from this program. The Delta level focuses on Single and Double-digit Division as well as many other topics including: reading and writing Roman numerals, currency, standard units of measure, basic geometry, and computing area and volume. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Minor in English Literature from the University of California at San Diego. For the past 20 years, I have been teaching children both as a homeschool teacher and in local co-op classes. I have also been teaching children online for the past 4 years on other platforms and with Outschool. My experience teaching Math includes 18 years as a homeschool educator teaching all grade levels of Math from K-12. This ranged from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to teaching my students to solve complex algebraic and geometric equations. I have experience using many different Math curricula including Math-U-See, Saxon Math, Teaching Textbooks, and Bob Jones University Press.
Homework Offered
Students will complete sections of each lesson for homework in between our class meetings each week. Homework will be corrected and reviewed in class.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

As time permits we may use the free Kahoot! app to practice math facts at the end of classes. The app should be downloaded on a separate device such as a phone or tablet before class. A free account may be set up in the student's name but is not necessary since the teacher will host the game and use screen share for students to participate. They will only use their device to submit answers.
