Using real world examples, including Lego bricks, your child will learn how to simplify fractions. This is an area of mathematics fraught with misunderstandings, poorly memorized algorithms, and misinterpretations of what is happening. In this class we will build a true and lasting understanding of how to work with fractions. It is recommended that students were enrolled in Factors Fit as a prerequisite to this course or that they have a strong ability to factor. If students cannot factor they will have a difficult time in this course.
