I am a qualified UK science teacher with significant experience teaching both in school and more informal settings (summer camps, tutoring, science club, etc).
Learners will be sent a summary of the key learning points and a few additional practice questions after each class, which they may wish to use for review purposes. However, homework is not compulsory and will not be assessed.
For each class, learners should come prepared with: pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, paper, calculator, graph paper (templates available to print online).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I integrate assessment for learning activities throughout each class, including quick quizzes, group discussions and mini activities. These enable me to continually monitor learners' understanding and adapt my teaching to better support their learning. Note that there will be no formal summative assessment for this class, and so no grades nor formal written reports will be provided.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
