Calling All Pokemon Masters! Pokemon Drawing and Fun Social Club

Meet other Pokemon fans and make friends in your Pokemon journey in this fun weekly Pokemon art and social club. Each week we will learn how to draw a different Pokemon character with step by step instructions. Then we will learn how to colour and ink our drawings so they really pop off the page! Don't worry if you don't know the Pokemon - in each lesson we will watch a short clip of these characters in action. This is a great way to introduce the Pokemon and get everyone excited about recreating them at home. 

We will also have a fun Pokemon pop quiz so students can flex their Pokemon knowledge and also have a chance to take part in a Pokemon show and tell. Pokemon cards? Pokemon toys? Pokemon clothes!? It will be a great opportunity for students to practice their presentation and listening skills in a group setting and share all their cool Pokemon merch. We will also have time for a virtual Pokemon game to get all the students interacting with each other and making friends in a supportive and positive environment. Students thrive when they get to share their passions with each other and the world of Pokemon is an awesome place to do this. 

I like to use slides to demonstrate how to draw and give a brief background about where the characters come from and what their characteristics are. My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and sensitively pointing out where they could improve. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. They are also welcome to use paints also if they would like to colour in with those. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art, Pokemon and how to draw!
