In this class, learners will follow step-by-step directions to create and personalize self-portraits in a style inspired by Andy Warhol's pop art! Learners can come prepared with a JPEG file of a photograph of themself (or a photo of a friend, family member, or a favorite fictional character if they don't want to use their own picture). Then we will run their photo through a free online filter that will create a black and white stencil version of the image. They will then print out four to...
I have been making art for as long as I can remember! I have experience taking college-level art courses and teaching an after school art club for elementary and middle school students.
There will not be any required outside work, but learners may want to continue their projects after class.
A computer hooked up to a printer Scissors Glue stick or liquid glue Paints/brushes, markers, colored pencils, and/or crayons depending on what you prefer to color with Paper (large art paper or construction paper is best as a backdrop for the collage, but printer paper can work too)
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
