No experience necessary at all - this class will take learners from absolute beginners to enthusiastic new players of Magic The Gathering using MTG Arena. Students will learn what different cards do and how they work, and the different stages of gameplay. Then we will work through some practice matches together to consolidate what we have learnt. There will be time for any questions and answers the students may have at the end of the class. Students will not be playing Magic The Gathering in class, and do not require their own MTG Arena account. At the end of the class, if students may wish to find out how to get a copy of MTG Arena for themselves, which will also be covered.
Learning Goals
Students will discover how to play Magic The Gathering using MTG Arena. This will help them develop their focus and concentration, problem solving skills, and strengthen literacy and mental arithmetic.

Parental Guidance
Magic The Gathering is a fantasy-based strategic trading card game. Some cards depict fictional monsters such as zombies, goblins, dragons, etc, and combat represented in numbers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

He has taught his own children and other homeschoolers how to play games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Magic The Gathering and Minecraft to develop their literacy, numeracy, creativity and other life skills.
