In this course, I will be teaching the "Loop, Swoop, & Pull" method of tying shoes. I will use a rhyme that your students can recite as they are manipulating their little fingers with their laces. By using their fingers while saying the rhyme, students are engaging different parts of the brain which will help them learn faster and remember how to do it in the future. I will show the steps slowly and repetitively throughout the entire class. All your child needs is a shoe! They will not...

Students will be able to tie their shoes!
I have worked with children for over 16 years! I love being able to take content and teach it at a child's level.
I would highly recommend the child rewatch the posted video as needed in order to practice. The class will be recorded and will help students who may forget the sequence. Remember - it is rare for a child to do something once and know how to tie. This will take lots of practice and encouragement!
Shoe with laces (already laced in the shoe) that the child can manipulate during class to tie the laces with the teacher - I would recommend an adult shoe to start with! Try to choose a shoe with laces that are stiffer to begin with.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Remember, students are ready to learn to tie at many different ages! Check out the full description to see if your child is ready to tie.
