Level 4 Dutch | Nederlands 🇳🇱 Using Dialogues! - Ten Week Semester Format

Using dialogues and (new this level): Kahoot! PRQ.: LEVELS 1, 2 & 3 -- Have you completed all 30 "Intro to Dutch" Levels 1, 2 and 3 lessons and want to practice some more? Welcome to Level 4.

Class Experience

-- This is the Semester Course Format which meets for 10 weeks, 1 day per week -- 

++ Please note: this is a continuation of my "Intro to Dutch" Levels 1, 2 and 3 classes (30 lessons in total). 
Students who have completed all 30 lessons are welcome to sign up for level 4 ++

Just like in Level 3, we will be using dialogues and breakout rooms (if there are more than 3 students enrolled)* 

In Level 4 we will also start using the present perfect. 

*The use of breakout rooms is to practice the dialogues. This is only a small part of the class time (around 10 - 15 min.), but this way everyone will get to practice at the same time. The students will get the dialogue ahead of time as well as a recording so they can prepare for it on their own. During class I will make time to go over any new words both the pronunciation and the meaning. I will be able to pop into every breakout room to check on the students.

Lesson 3: At the mobile phone store
Lesson 4: Taking the train to grandma
Lesson 5: At the police station because you lost something 
Lesson 6: Ordering pancakes 
Lesson 7: Going to the movies
Lesson 8: At the doctor's 
Lesson 9: Vacation
Lesson 10: Review 

A Google Slide presentation will be used during this class.
The students are asked to verbally participate in order for the teacher to give feedback and corrections. 
Class sizes are kept small in order to ensure that every student is able to participate.   
Just like in Levels 1 and 2, students will get extra material to work on at home.

I am Teacher Glenn, a native Dutch speaker.

I moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 2011, but I grew up in Europe, more specifically Belgium. 
 
I have been teaching Dutch since 2007, in person and online. 

I have a BA in Education and an AA in Acting

In my classes I try to combine different learning tools and methods since every student is different and everyone learns at a different pace / uses different skills.
