Level 11 Dutch | Nederlands 🇳🇱 Using Theater Texts -- Ten Week Semester Course

-- This is the Semester Course Format which meets for 10 weeks, 1 day per week -- 

++ Please note: this is a continuation of my "Intro to Dutch" Levels 1 - 10  classes (100 lessons in total). 
Students who have completed all 100 lessons are welcome to sign up for level 10 ++

Just like in the previous levels, we will be using dialogues and breakout rooms (if there are more than 3 students enrolled)* 

NEW THIS LEVEL: instead of dialogues, we'll be using theater texts (= 3 or more roles)!

*The use of breakout rooms is to practice the dialogues/theater texts. This is only a small (but very important) part of the class time (around 10 - 15 min.). This way everyone will get to practice at the same time. The students will get the dialogue ahead of time as well as a recording so they can prepare for it on their own. During class I will make time to go over any new words both the pronunciation and the meaning. I will be able to pop into every breakout room to check on the students. Breakout rooms are only used in classes with more than 3 students. 

In Level 10, we will use a variety of age-appropriate theater texts to introduce a topic and each learner will get a chance to read. 

The main focus of this level is expansion of the vocabulary and a review of previous acquired knowledge (vocabulary as well as grammar) as well as learn more of Dutch and Belgian culture. 

We will also use Kahoot again for our review quiz at the end of the level!  

A Google Slide presentation will be used during this class, but students do NOT need to access Google for this. 
I only use Google Slides in a screen-share. 

The students are asked to verbally participate in order for the teacher to give feedback and corrections. 

Class sizes are kept small in order to ensure that every student is able to participate.   

Just like in Levels 1 through 10, students will get extra material to work on at home, but this is optional.

-- I do also offer two types of 1:1 sessions -- 30 min or 45 min.
