Class experience
Welcome to the Minecraft BLISS SMP Class, a thrilling private survival server for students who are eager to explore the unique world of the popular BLISS SMP server. In this class, students will dive into a captivating Survival Mode where they will learn to master the powers of the 7 gems, each with its own distinct abilities. My learning goal for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, survivors and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
For this class, you will need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition). You'll need two devices: the first for the Zoom call (to talk) and one to play Minecraft. Zoom can be downloaded and used on smartphones (iOS/Android) or PC, and Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) can be played on another device (Windows 10/11 PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 4/ PS5, Nintendo Switch, Fire OS/TV, Android/iOS). It's highly recommended to have the most recent installation of Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) on your device. And you will need a FREE Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online. Please visit https://account.microsoft.com/ for more details on how to sign up. You must also have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online/Xbox Live/Playstation Plus (if you are on a console) in order to play with other people on the private server.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
A Microsoft account will be required to play Minecraft Online with other people. With the Microsoft account, there should be a "gamertag" which is a username. I do not need to know the gamertag name as I will provide a code that will allow the learner to join the server. Please do not share any gamertags in the classroom. Any problems please message me privately. Disruptive students who have been warned more than once will have their accounts temporarily suspended from the server until the next class. Nonetheless, it is not confined to unacceptable actions including foul language or harassing other students.
