Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
In this class students will learn and practice teamworking skills and cooperative play, social skills, critical thinking skills to accomplish group and individual goals, respect, and manners.
Students will also become more efficient in their keyboard and mouse skills through experience.
These are skills that will be useful in many aspects of life.
I have been playing Minecraft for almost 10 years since its release and video games in general my whole life! Minecraft is my favorite game of all time, and it is much more fun to play with friends!
If the student wants to join the server and play together they will need: - PC (will NOT work with consoles, phones, or iPads) - Minecraft JAVA edition - Internet connection If the student wants to join to talk about Minecraft with others but NOT play on the server, the above is not necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Common Sense Media recommends ages 7 and up for Minecraft due to fantasy violence.
Students and the teacher will be playing on a Realm server hosted by me (the teacher). I will monitor the activity and interactions on this server. While Minecraft does have its own chat communication system, we will NOT be using this feature. We will only communicate through Outschool and Zoom during class times.

We will not be sharing any personal information besides the student’s in game username. This is needed to allow the student to access the server. Only I (the teacher) and the other students enrolled in class will be able to see the username.

As always, parents should monitor their children’s online activity.
