Let's Learn STEM: Build With Barnabas Bear

Let's BUILD with Barnabas Bear. In this class we can create a bed (using i.e. shoebox, other recycled materials) for Barnabas, build him a hat/helmet using small paper plates and string for when he explores, design and, make a compass.

Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include experiments, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, videos and much more.  Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs.

Week of 20/1/25 - Build a Car
Week of 27/1/25 - Build a Tower
Week of 3/2/25 - Build a Boat
Week of 10/2/25 - Build a Pizza
Week of 17/2/25 - Build a Suitcase
Week of 24/2/25 - Build a Bridge
Week of 3/3/25 - Build a Maze
Week of 10/3/25 - Build a Launcher

Further classes will be added.

Classes will include all elements of STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. These are all areas of learning that our kids need to be comfortable with to excel in the future. STEM makes creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors.
