In this 4-week, course, students will begin their adventure into the Spanish language learning through chants, song, finger play, and repetition, greetings, colors, shapes, family, body parts, animals, and so much more.
Class experience
In this twice weekly, four week Spanish class, we will learn Spanish through imitation, practice and repetition with puppets, stories, games, and song. Knowing a second language can be an enormous confidence booster for children. Knowing a second language helps children to see themselves as smart and capable. And when you believe it, you can be it. The students will be learning Spanish vocabulary each class to soon be able to begin forming simple sentences. Each class will focus on a group of words for your little learner to practice and use. It will be an absolute pleasure to encourage your child to learn Spanish and have fun learning through song, rhymes, poems and stories.
I have a Masters in Education and am a licensed teacher in English, Spanish, and English as a Second Language for K - 12. I have taught children from preschool through high school for over 25 years with experience in the classroom, homeschool classroom, online classroom, and community education. I have also taught not only in the United States, but in Mexico as well.
Homework Offered
There may be homework occasionally. I do encourage parents to practice vocabulary words and lessons that will be provided in weekly printouts for their little Spanish learner for 10 - 15 minutes daily. 😊 Vocabulary practice outside of class will make games more fun for your little learner. Thank you!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
There will be no formal assessment. I do ask that your learner practice their vocabulary 10-15 minutes daily.Grades Offered
Crayons Blank paper to draw/write upon. I'm will provide printouts to review at home. This is not necessary for class, but strongly encouraged to have at hand. The printouts are also resources for parents to use for practice/study time with their child.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
