Let's learn Guitar for beginners!!

🙌🏻 My teaching style is based on positive reinforcement, that means that my goal as a teacher is to create a positive classroom environment where students can feel relaxed, comfortable, and happy as they learn.

👨🏻‍🏫 What sets my lessons apart from others? I use professional lighting and audio equipment so that the sound and video quality is professional and clear. I also use three webcams which are pointed at different parts of the guitar, with different close ups. This way each student can clearly see the instrument, it's even better than being there in person!

In this 4-week live course, students will learn:
🎸 The anatomy of a guitar (course is for both acoustic and electric guitar)
🎸 Name of the strings and how to tune the guitar properly 
 The app "GuitarTuna" is perfect for tuning, as well as guitar tuners that clip onto the guitar. Although, students will learn the mechanics of tuning the guitar
🎸 How to hold the guitar neck correctly
🎸 Intro to strumming with a pick (Please make sure our new rockstar has a pick for the lesson)
🎸 How to read chord charts
🎸 Basic chords 

Playing guitar can be challenging and it might take some students longer than others to get their guitar to sound perfect. It requires hand muscles to get stronger, which can only be achieved with practice. In this class students will be introduced to new concepts which I highly recommend that they practice weekly.
Students for this class are required to have a guitar that fits their hand (if a guitar is too big, it might discourage your learner), with all 6 strings. Each week I will post all the material we review in class in PDF format. I strongly encourage parents/students to print out these pages if possible and keep them together in a folder.

Students are not required to have any in music theory or guitar to join the class. If your child already knows a few guitar chords, this class might serve as extra practice and reinforcement for their learning.
