During this class, students will learn how to create a one-point perspective drawing and create their own artwork with the teacher's step-by-step process.
Class experience
During this class, students will learn how to create their very own one-point perspective art to communicate the illusion of space and depth. One point perspective is a drawing method that shows how things appear to get smaller as they get further away, converging towards a single ‘vanishing point’ on the horizon line. It is a way of drawing objects upon a flat piece of paper so that they look three-dimensional and realistic. We will discuss all the different elements of linear perspective...
Students will understand how to find the center of an object and how to estimate depths. They will learn how to create their own depth using lines and shapes and ultimately create a one-point perspective drawing.
Paper (any size) Pencil Marker Ruler Colors (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
