In this ongoing class, students will learn the background of famous inventors, and their inventions that changed the world. Discover the amazing lives of Tesla, Galileo, Jobs, Archimedes, Einstein and more! Each class, students will learn about two different inventors, their personal life history, and what some of their biggest contributions to history were. The class will be taught through a lecture and slide presentation, with openings for discussion and thoughts on each inventor. We will discuss some of the more famous inventors such as; Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin, as well as lesser known inventors like Stephanie Kwolek. We will cover inventors from the 1800's all the way up to icons like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Within this class, students will learn of some of the obstacles many of these inventors faced, and how they overcame and soared above the obstacles. It is easy sometimes to feel overwhelmed by struggles, but I hope through using these great minds as examples, students will be encouraged to push through and excel to their greatest potential as these icons have.
