US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
During this class students will have a brief introduction to a moral about “Kindness.” This will be followed by a drawing lesson in which students will draw “Rabbit and Mouse Plant a Seed of Kindness.” During the first half of class students will develop the drawing in 5 progressive steps. They will learn that drawings can also be broken down into 5 basic shapes. During the second half of class, students will learn basic color pencil techniques such as hatching, outlining, and shading. Coloring is an important part of the drawing! Your child will be inspired by the use of light, color and shading in their completed masterpiece! These techniques will enhance the three dimensionality of their final drawing. Never again will they look at color and sunshine in the same way! It is my hope that I can instill a love for drawing as well as a sense of confidence in your young artist! The cognitive skills that they master while drawing can also be helpful when learning at school! In the materials section you will find everything that you need for this exciting class!

Students will create a drawing in 5 phases. Students will learn proper color pencil techniques such as "hatching" and "shading."
