In this on-going course, learners will learn fun facts about unique, wild animals. Learners will use facts to develop early opinion writing skills, comparing two animals learned in class, and share which animal they like the most!
Class experience
In this on-going course, learners will meet once a week, in a writer's workshop series of lessons. Learners will be developing early writing skills with in developing opinion writing skills. Learners will engage in activities such as drawing pictures, labeling pictures and using their pictures to create sentences and state their opinions. In this course, learners will focus on developing early writing skills. This includes learning how to draw with details, dictate and write from pictures. Learners will focus on the Common Core Standards in Writing, W.K.1.
