Class Experience

Each day of class students will draw 3-4 different magical characters, creatures or animals. Characters included are elves, witches, wizards, mythical animals, sidekicks, heroes and many many others. Students will be given step by step visual instruction while they draw along with the teacher. I use a two screen system so that I can look at and talk to my students while they are watching me draw on the screen that will help demonstrate the steps I am drawing. I will be discussing drawing techniques, and coloring methods, and we will discuss favorite parts of the books and movies. There are a lot of details added to these characters. All are simple to follow along with and I will be drawing step by step with the students. Students will also get to learn a single creature or character they pick during the class and a tutorial will be made on how to draw them. Planned Schedule

Week 1: Magical Kids and Pets

Week 2: Adult Wizards and Friends Characters

Week 3: Corrupt Magicians and Creatures

Week 4: Magical Friends and Animals

Week 5: Magical and Mythical Creatures

Week 6: Magical Beasts and Animals

Parental Guidance
One thing to note is if your student has taken my camp before they may end up drawing a character previously drawn but there will be some of new ones for your student to draw. Being able to practice these characters again will help your students get better at drawing. A PDF copy of the book I created for the course will be provided to each student and they can print it off or look at it digitally to help them after class ends.
Supply List
Paper preferably heavy duty to draw on, but printer paper can work.
The larger the paper the more characters and background can go into the image. I recommend 9x12 inches or 11x14 inches for paper size but any size will work.
Crayons, Colored Pencils, or Markers
Pencil and Eraser
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
We will have lots of trivia and questions about books and movies about wizards and magical creature and I recommend students knowing about lots of different magical and mythical creatures, wizards, and animals to really enjoy this portion of the class.
