Fractions and decimals can be a challenge to understand. Come join a 5th grade teacher in class to better understand fractions and decimals! Be ready for real-world examples and deep discussions about number-sense when it comes to fractions and decimals. We will have so much fun learning about fractions and decimals. Each class will consist of an interactive lesson, practice time, real-world examples, and a review game! Optional practice problems will be posted on the class page. Day 1: - Understanding Fractions & Decimals - Convert Fractions to Decimals - Convert Decimals to Fractions Day 2: Simplifying Fractions & Review Day 3: Add & Subtract Fractions & Decimals Day 4: Multiply & Divide Fractions & Decimals * This course is taught by a certified 5th grade teacher. Blooket is a digital tool that will be used to practice & review fraction/decimal skills. Your child might need assistance using this resource for the first time. The instructor will guid students how to access the game.

Please have scratch paper and a sharpened pencil ready for each class. We will use a multiplication chart on the first day of class, so please print this resource out or be ready to use it digitally.
