Students will practice analyzing a text.
-Students will learn how to ask and answer questions about a text.
-Students will practice online discussion manners (connecting to another's thoughts, responding in a positive tone, etc.)
Students will discuss the character traits of the strong female character. 
Students will discuss how they can apply those traits to their own lives to help them become “leading ladies.”
Students will practice how to make connections to themselves and to other texts. 

I am a certified teacher and have a master's in literacy. I also have experience guiding book clubs in brick and mortar classrooms. 

Homework Offered
*Students need to read the book before doing the posted activities and discussion prompts. (If the text is too hard for your child to understand, parents may feel free to read sections aloud to the child for better enjoyment of the novel or have your child listen to the story with an audiobook version.)

*Each week students are to complete the posted Pear Deck activity based on the reading for the week. Students are also to respond to the provided Flip Grid discussion prompt. As well as respond to one other person's response.
