Each class is filled with engaging activities tailored to children ages 4-8, encouraging them to explore diverse cultures, challenge traditional norms, and celebrate the endless possibilities of storytelling. Explore Remixed Fairy Tales: Through captivating storytelling, interactive discussions, and engaging activities, your child will discover remixed versions of classic fairy tales that add exciting twists and turns to familiar stories. 2. Participate in Fun Activities: From arts and crafts to role-playing and creative writing, each class offers a variety of hands-on activities designed to spark your child's creativity and foster a love of storytelling. 3. Celebrate Diversity: Through cultural remixes and exploration of different time periods, your child will learn about the rich tapestry of world cultures and embrace the beauty of diversity in storytelling. 4. Unleash Creativity: Whether designing costumes, crafting storyboards, or acting out scenes, your child will have the opportunity to express themselves creatively and bring their own unique ideas to life. Learning Goals
The learning goals for Once Upon a Remix class include:
1. Creativity: Children will think creatively and imaginatively as they explore remixed fairy tales and participate in hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, creative writing, and role-playing.

Supply List
Required: -paper -pencil -crayons/markers/etc. -child sized scissors Optional: -a printable may be available for certain classes, this will be posted in the classroom at least two days before the class begins. If you do not have a printer, I will guide the child through the activity with the required materials listed above. -other common household items may be requested before a particular class. These items will be listed under the posted messages of the classroom. An example would be a paper plate or aluminum foil.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Howard University. After graduation I taught one year in 2nd grade before moving to join the kindergarten team for 5 years. I decided to leave the classroom when my first son was born but my passion for teaching and learning have never dissipated. I now homeschool both of my sons, ages 7 and 10 and have taught multiple online classes since 2020, including teaching about remixed fairy tales!
