Class Experience

In this four-week flex class course for younger learners, we will build on what students learned in "Korean Introduction for Beginners!" We will review introductions, colors, numbers, and animals, and cover essential vocabulary and basic grammar concepts important for conversation in Korean. The class will be fun and easy-going, encouraging a love of the language and a focus on using what they’ve learned to speak in Korean! Let’s have fun and learn together!

Each week, I will post a 25-minute video explaining the concepts listed below. Following the video, I will post discussion questions, challenge activities, or ask students to share examples of their work daily in the classroom.

Syllabus

4 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Introduction and Clothes Vocabulary
In our first week, we’ll dive into clothes vocabulary while reviewing colors and basic sentence structure. We’ll start with a self-introduction discussion in the classroom, and I'll also post a discussion question to the class to get everyone talking!
Lesson 2:
"This or That" and Numbers
This week, we’ll learn how to use "This or That" and numbers in Korean. Students will practice writing using several of the sentences from this lesson. To make things fun, I’ll also post an engaging game in the classroom!
Lesson 3:
Verbs, Present Tense, and Subject/Object Markers
In Week 3, we’ll focus on verbs, present tense, and subject/object markers. Students will write sentences using grammar from this week's lesson. We’ll also have a lively discussion about our favorite hobbies and wrap up with a quiz game!
Lesson 4:
Expressing "I Want To"
Our final week features a 25-minute video teaching how to say "I want to" in Korean. Students will share examples of their work throughout the course, showcasing what they’ve learned and how they’ve progressed.
