Kitten and Cat Care Camp: Let’s Take Care of Our Pet Cats!

What activities can I do with my pet cat to help take care of my furry animal friend? Learn the importance of grooming and techniques for keeping pets healthy. Learners can bring kittens, cats, or stuffed animals to class.

Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Is it important to brush a cat's fur to prevent hairballs?  Do kittens need baths or do they groom themselves? 

We will answer these grooming and cat care questions and more in this camp!  Learners are encouraged to bring their cats, kittens, or stuffed animals to class.  My cat, Professor Patrick, will make guest appearances as well.

Each session, we will have different topics, such as: grooming, dental care, and cat enrichment activities.  We will have a lively discussion about these loving ways that we can spend quality time with our precious pets.  

At the end of each of these interactive discussions, learners will color a picture of a cat.  Students will complete each class by sharing their artsy pictures.

The cat care topics will vary each day.  These are the subjects that we will learn about: 

Camp Day 1: 
Introductions & Cat/Kitten/Stuffed Animal Show and Tell
Topic: Grooming: Does my cat really need a bath?
Coloring Activity

Camp Day 2:
Topic: Dental Care: Do I really need to brush my cat's teeth?

Camp Day 3: 
Topic: Petting: Should I be careful about petting my cat's paws, tail, and belly?

Topic: Enrichment Activities: Can I use feather wands and toys to keep my cat engaged?
