Kindergarten Math - Learning With Ms. G! (Unit 1)

In this 8-week course, students will learn and practice kindergarten math skills: number sense, numbers 0-20, sort and classify numbers, compare numbers to 10, beginning measurement, and 2D shapes. Students will interact with each other and the teacher, by participating in games, catchy songs, and engaging activities to reinforce learning. This class is perfect for learners about to enter kindergarten, those being taught solely at home, as well as those who need a review of kindergarten concepts. You will find that I keep my class size small so that I can interact with each student throughout the class. This will be a hands-on class. Each learner will receive several practice handouts that can be used during class, as well as after class to continue the learning. The semester schedule is as follows:

Week One - Numbers 0-5
Week Two - Sort and classify
Week Three - Review of numbers 0-5, learn 6-10
Week Four - Review 6-10/Comparing numbers
Week Five - Comparing numbers/Intro measurements
Week Six - Measurement/Comparing size
Week Seven - Measurement/Combinations to 5
Week Eight - 2d shapes
