Being intelligent may be knowing a lot of facts that will help to answer homework questions, but being smart is remembering to take home the books you need to do the homework and then to hand it in on time. Being smart is knowing what to study for that exam efficiently. Being smart is figuring out how to complete a long assignment...
About Your Instructor Barb is a former classroom teacher and university educator, world recording setting athlete who currently works with young people and their parents from around the world in the development of Building Champions in Academics and Athletics.
Handouts of activity sheets will be provided for all participants as needed
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Please note: The first two class sessions will focus on nutrition and dietary habits as they build the foundations to the brain's ability to function. If a child is not aware of the C.R.A.P. they are putting into their body, they will not be aware of the many reasons they are struggling with focus, attention, study skills, organization, information retention and so many other things; both academic and everyday activities.
