The learners will understand 5 different types of social skills: empathy, cooperation, listening, non-verbal, verbal and written communication. These skills will enhance their relationships within their homes and community. Having mastered these skills, learners will improve their self confidence and self-esteem.
Homework is optional, however, it is in their best interest to practice the skills learned. If the learner uses one new skill a day they will improve their relationships and self-esteem.

The learner will be able to discuss and demonstrate effective social skills.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
