This fun an engaging lesson is an introduction to fractions. We will learn vocabulary through songs, real life applications, and models. Students will have access to a virtual classroom where, after the class, they can still practice and review the materials. There are no materials required as the lesson resources and practices for after the lesson are all available online. We will practice making and writing fractions. This 45 minute class is packed with songs, interactive websites, and games.

I love to teach classes on all things math! I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and a masters degree in mathematics. I have taught 4th grade for 4 years and was a paraprofessional in all elementary school grades for 5 years before that. I believe that all students can learn given the correct tools and strategies that meet them where they are. My students think I am weird because I tell them I love fractions.
