Intro to Hand Knitting - Casting On

In this one-time class, students will learn how to make a slip knot and cast on stitches using the "long tail cast on". Learning how to cast on can be the toughest part of learning to knit, so I'm here to help your student through the steps. Once the hands know what to do (we call this "muscle memory"), the process becomes much easier and there's no need to even think about how to do it. For most of the class, I keep the camera on my hands so the students can see clearly what I'm demonstrating. There is no previous knitting experience needed.
