Intermediate Saxophone Lessons- Level IV

Prior experience is required. Students need to have played the saxophone for a minimum of 6 months and/or completed the Essential Elements Book 1. Completing the Essential Elements Book 2 during this class, we will average 2 pages per lesson and there will be required homework each class. I will begin each lesson with review of what was taught the previous week and expect students to demonstrate an understanding of the assigned and practiced exercise(s). Students will then be introduced to the new concept (i.e. notes, timing, theory) as I will demonstrate, and then allow the students to sight read through the exercises for that day's lesson giving tips and helping as necessary. At the end of this course students will have completed the Intermediate Lessons and Book 2. They will be given some skills to practice as they await their next courses.
