Intermediate Level
Intermediate clarinet lessons will be highly interactive one-on-one sessions. We will work on the fundamentals of clarinet playing via a mix of teacher assigned and student requested materials. Class topics will also include clarinet etudes, pieces/songs, strategies for independent practice performance, and strategies for playing without pain and tension. Lessons will be structured around student goals, learning style, and musical interests. Students will be encouraged to explore a variety of music and find opportunities to share their progress through performance. My teaching style balances challenging my students to play at the highest level and coaching them on their musicianship, while also encouraging them to develop their own interpretations and think critically about the music they are playing.
