Interactive Basketball I. Q. Assessments And Customized Training

This is a data-driven class. Last summer we started introducing basketball families to this unique teaching style. As a result, students are increasing their basketball knowledge and gaining confidence by competing and answering fun multiple-choice video questions. We developed these Assessments by applying data collected from over 15,000 responses and hundreds of discussions. 

We found the weak areas for 8 to 12-year-old basketball players and we're taking advantage of it with this class.  For example, we looked at the responses and found a few questions that 80% of the students got wrong. These questions are included along with others based on specific data.

This is the missing piece that separates youth on the basketball court. We focus on the science of the game. No other training uses these techniques. 

In this class, we’re going to customize learning for each student by first identifying baseline levels. Students will receive an Initial Assessment to be completed before class begins. This will help us determine their baseline knowledge of the game and allow me to design custom homework for each student. 

When students enroll, they'll be sent to the Initial Assessment to complete before class. This Assessment is timed and will be our guide to developing customize homework for each student.

Curriculum: 
Week One: 
- Complete Pre-Assessment before class begins (45 to 1 hour)
- Review and discussion focused on weak areas (most missed questions)
- Students work together to answer questions 
- Students will take turns explaining their answers and getting feedback from other students
- Students are assigned homework based on their responses
- Custom homework 

Week Two: 
- Homework review
- Students will compete by answering fun multiple-choice video questions to score points
- Students will be asked to explain their answers to the class and get feedback 
- Students will work together on complex questions to find the best possible answers
- Students are assigned homework based on responses during activities

Week Three:
- Homework review
- Post-Assessment with answers and explanations
- Discussions and professional tips
- Winner is named
