Group experience
Sports Club gives learners the opportunity to connect with other sports fans from around the world! Learners can ask and answer discussion questions about news, scores, highlights, and rumors from the sports universe. Content from various sports will be posted multiple times each week to help get students thinking and chatting. Here are some examples of discussion topics: Who is your favorite athlete? How did you pick your favorite team? Which sports do you like and why? What challenges present a player who gets traded to a new team? Will we ever see another multi-sport professional athlete? Below, you can find some sports-specific topics: BASEBALL Will the Braves repeat as World Series champions in 2022? Was Jorge Soler the right choice for World Series MVP? Who deserves to win 2021 MVP? Shohei Ohtani or Vladimir Guerrero Jr.? Should a team be built on young talent or experienced veterans? Which team did not live up to their potential in 2021? Which position on the baseball field is the most fun to play? FOOTBALL Who will win the football games this Sunday? Is Tom Brady the greatest player of all time? Which rookies are having the best or worst seasons? Which injuries have had the biggest impact on their team in 2022? Does coaching make a big difference or is it all about the on-field talent? Which coaches will get fired in the offseason? Should teams who win the coin toss choose to kick or receive the opening kickoff? Will we ever see another team finish a season undefeated? HOCKEY Will the Colorado Avalanche win again? Which hockey team is in the best position to make a playoff run? Will any player ever break Wayne Gretzky's all-time goal record? What's more valuable to a hockey team, a great goalie or a great offensive player? Which young players are living up to the hype? Does the Eastern Conference or the Western Conference have the best teams? BASKETBALL Who is the best player of all-time? Michael Jordan, LeBron James, or someone else? Was Kobe and Shaq the best duo? Is the 24-second shot too long, too short, or just right? Why are basketball games so high scoring now compared to older generations? Guidelines
Welcome to our Group! We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful.
Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included.
Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, religions and body types, participate in our Group. Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here
Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private.
Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated.
Keep language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share with your grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place, and when in doubt, keep things covered.
