Inspired by the Masters: An Intro to Papercraft!
In this 40-minute class, students will be introduced to the art of paper crafting! They will learn ten 3D paper techniques and create a unique abstract paper sculpture!

Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their fine motor skills and learn new ways to work with paper as an art medium. They will develop new techniques using scissors, and be encouraged to experiment with them. They will also learn how to define what a sculpture is, and ways they can create one at home.
Students will be encouraged to continue working on their paper sculptures. I will also give them some sculpture challenges to attempt once class is finished.
1 file available upon enrollment*Please see included PDF for a more detailed materials list* - Multiple sheets of colored paper - 1/2 inch and 1 inch strips of colored paper - Glue stick or white glue - Colored Pencils or Markers - A ‘base’ (cardstock, cardboard) *The backing to a construction paper pad works great* - (optional) a cup or circular object to trace - (optional) stapler - (recommended) masking or scotch tape *Please Note: If your child struggles with scissors, it is recommended they have full parental support during class.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
