This independent art course is the perfect course for any young artist! Within this ongoing course, students will individually work with me to decide on their own projects and complete them at a pace that feels right for them based on artistic goals we set out for them when they join the course. I will be there along the way to help motivate, come up with ideas and plan based on their individual artistic desires, provide feedback through check-ins with each individual learner, and demonstrate whenever needed (example- your learner is excited about creating a portrait but really struggles with drawing eyes. I will give them a demonstration on how to go about drawing them).  

Your learner will never be left doing nothing during our classes as I will prioritize making sure no one is struggling to come up with what to work on. In the event that a learner is struggling to decide what to work on, I will have prompts for individuals to keep the ball rolling! When your learner joins this class, we will have a discussion about their artistic goals so that we can make sure that we are working toward these goals through their chosen art projects.

This course is truly individualized as each learner will have the kind of instruction and feedback that they need to succeed. Would your student like to casually work on building their skillset? I can help. Would your student like to work on building a serious portfolio? I can help with that too. Students are welcome to work in any material, whether it is familiar or not since I will be there to help, and are able to work in any style whether it be cartoon/stylized, abstract, or any level of realistic as I will take this into consideration when giving them feedback and help. Please note- All classes will be learner-directed by each individual learner and, therefore, students will not all be working on the same project, topic, or for the same duration for their works of art. Students will work individually, with the exception being if there is more than one student at time struggling to decide what they would like to work on. In this instance, I will give only the students struggling a prompt and other students will continue to work on their own personally designed works of art.
In addition, this course has a slightly higher cost than my other ongoing courses due to the fact that I am personalizing instruction for each learner and, because of this, can only take a very small number of students into an individual section of the course.
