I will clearly explain the concepts around the physics topics of energy, forces and circuits in a meaningful and easy to understand way. My methods are tried and tested with high school students and just work!

I will be teaching physics topics and how this relates to things that students experience day to day. We will look at how the universe is just a series of energy transfers, how forces can change the motion of objects and how electricity travels around a circuit. My classes are structured to use an introductory activity to gauge prior learning. I will then use this to actively shape the lesson, checking for understanding at regular intervals. Students will become more confident in using their knowledge of the basics of physics to better describe real world situations and problems that they might encounter. It will also give them the fundamental understanding to study physics further and have success in public examinations.
I am a very expeienced high school science teacher and have developed ways ensuring that sometimes reluctant learners grasp difficult concepts. I am very used to teaching neurodiverse students and finding ways of explaining difficult topics that make sense to them.
