Class Experience

Hi everyone! For this class learners will learn how to thread a sewing machine, how to cut a pattern for a fabric mask, and step-by-step instructions on how to make a fabric mask. This will be a live class. Learners need no sewing experience, this is a beginner course. They will need access to a sewing machine, fabric (1/4 yard if using elastic or 1/2 yard if wanting the mask to tie with fabric), elastic (optional), scissors, and thread. Students will have a chance to ask questions and will pause after each step to ensure learners are understanding the steps.

Parental Guidance
Learners will be using scissors, measuring tape, sewing machine.
Supply List
sewing machine, thread, 1/4 yard (if using elastic) to 1/2 yard of fabric (if using tie method and no elastic), elastic (14 inches), scissors, ruler, and fabric pencil (will use pencil to draw a straight line for cutting.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
