Class Experience
*Please note the camp sessions of How to Draw Cats are identical to the How to Draw Cats sessions that meet once a week for four weeks. Through demonstrations, practice, and feedback, students will learn to sketch and draw cats. Students may use pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, or pastels. The use of a sketchbook will be encouraged. 1 file available upon enrollmentAll students need to have the following materials: - A pdf of reference photos of cats is available when enrolled - Cat photos or illustrations you would like to draw -Sketchbook (optional) - white paper - pencil (HB, assorted, or mechanical) -kneaded eraser -pink plastic eraser If you would like to work in a medium other than graphite (pencil), please be sure you have the items needed for that medium also: FOR *PASTELS: -soft and hard pastels -soft vine charcoal - grey paper for charcoal and pastel or toned grey paper pad *Please note some pastels are toxic (if inhaled or ingested) FOR CHARCOAL: -charcoal pencil -white pencil (pastel pencil, these often come in the pack with charcoal pencils) -soft vine charcoal -pencil sharpener designed for pastel pencils - grey paper for charcoal and pastel or toned grey paper pad FOR COLORED PENCIL: -tracing paper - grey paper for charcoal and pastel or toned grey paper pad Please let me know if you have any questions about the needed materials.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
