Class Experience

Winter Course: Tis' the season for your students to learn how to make and decorate their own Gingerbread House!

1. Your student will learn how to bake gingerbread cookies used specifically for Gingerbread House building.
2. Your student will learn some history behind gingerbread houses.
3. Your student will learn how to create royal icing and how to build and decorate their gingerbread house.
4. You student will be able to also look at some photos and video of gingerbread houses/decor around Disney World for inspiration for their own decorating.
5. Your student will practice problem solving, creativity and science.

Your student will be able to view my original videos that will demonstrate the recipe for each day. I will have one camera that is dedicated just to the work station so your student can see exactly what is taking place.
Students will be encouraged to share pictures of the finished product with me for feedback!

While this recipe is edible, it's best just for decorating as it is firmer than the regular gingerbread cookie. I will provide a recipe in class for delicious gingerbread cookies that are not as firm.
