Class experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner Level
This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will receive small class instruction, learning Spanish 2 curriculum. This class is designed for students who have already taken at least 2 semesters of Spanish 1, and around 12-16 weeks of Spanish 2. Students will continue to grow in all 4 areas of communication, Reading and Listening (Interpretive) and Speaking and Writing (Interpersonal).
I have taught beginning through advanced level Spanish since 2016. I have taught Spanish to 2nd graders, and 6th-12th graders. I have taught in-person classes for the majority of my career, and average about 30 hours/week teaching & tutoring online Spanish since January 2023.
Homework Offered
There will be supplemental notes sheets and/or vocabulary links shared in the classroom to use to study & practice between classes. There will be small writing assignments occasionally, in which I will give feedback on grammar, and we may use the following class to read aloud, to practice listening comprehension skills, as well as pronunciation and speaking skills.
Assessments Offered
Every 2-4 lessons, students will answer quiz questions to test their knowledge from previous lessons. Students will be given a letter grade based on accuracy of quizzes and projects.
Grades Offered
Paper/notebook, a pencil, and an eraser.
A laptop or chromebook would be better than using an ipad, because we type answers in the chat often.
If able, printing some of the notes or worksheets may be useful, but not required.
I will be using Youtube via screen-share for supplemental videos that may help with Listening comprehension.
I may also use Quizlet in screen-share mode to teach students how to navigate all of the vocab review options the site has to offer.
I will use Google Slides in screen-share mode for me to present content.
I may use Google Docs to have students access digital notes (that could be printed if they choose to)
I may use Kahoot, Gimkit, or Quizlet Live to play vocab-based games.
