Happy Birthday, Rhode Island! This state turns 233 years old on May 29th. (We will celebrate on Tuesday, May 30th since the 29th is Memorial Day.) To celebrate, we will briefly explore what makes this state great. Students will learn about Rhode Island's capital, age and birthday, nickname, motto, and state bird/mammal/flower. I will be screen sharing two Youtube videos that I have embedded into my PowerPoint. We will listen to 5 interesting fun facts created by the academic Youtube channel, Studies Weekly, and listening to the official state song with the DN Anthems Youtube channel.
We will be learning the state's nickname and motto, which are found on Rhode Island's official website. We will also be learning about the state mammal, flower, and bird which can be found in the same place. We will color in the state flag, also found on the state website. We will listen to 5 interesting fun facts created by the academic Youtube channel, Studies Weekly, and listening to the official state song with the DN Anthems Youtube channel.
