Class Experience
This class will include but is not limited to: - A thorough warm-up including isolation movements and stretching - Choreography section will include a contemporary/hip-hop style dance combination to "Ten Duel Commandments" from Hamilton the musical. **Please note we will not be using original choreography from the show due to originality policies Day 1: - Phrases #1 and #2 - Total music learned by end of day 1 will include commandments 1-5 - Clean and review phrase - Show and tell...
Leaners will experience and perform a dance combination from Hamilton the musical including modern, contemporary, and hip-hop style movement.
This song, although part of an extraordinary theatre performance, does have frank talk of death through early duel practices in America.
Dancers are encouraged to listen to Hamilton's "Ten Duel Commandments" but not required.
Learners will need an open space, close toed shoes for safety, appropriate movement attire, and water.
This class is about enjoying musical theater and expression through movement. Participation is the assessment!
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using the CLEAN version of this song as it may contain some mature language.
