I always give my students songs and practice materials to work on during the week. It's important to practice in between lessons in order to maintain your guitar skills!Class Experience
In one on one guitar lessons with Loralee, you will learn or improve on a variety of guitar techniques like these: - The anatomy of the guitar, names of strings and how to tune - How to read guitar tablature or sheet music - How to strum and create varying strumming patterns - Fingerpicking - How to play guitar chords and read chord charts - Music theory, scales and proper guitar technique - How to play the songs you love! The lessons are split into two sections - one focused on tablature/fingerpicking/note driven music, and the other on learning chords and strumming. Students pick the songs they would like to learn and I cater the difficulty towards their skill level. I believe it's an important motivator to play the music that you love, rather than to let a curriculum, dictate what you should be learning! That's why I keep my private lessons flexible and fun.
