Students will learn how to play the clarinet. This is a class for all clarinet levels. During the first class I will assess what level the student is playing at, and we will continue accordingly. Beginner students will be taught how to read music, properly hold their instrument, the correct fingering for each note, and how to care for their clarinet. They will use the Essential Elements 2000: Comprehensive Band Method: B Flat Clarinet Book 1 (I have no affiliation with this company it is simply an excellent book for learning the clarinet). Intermediate students will be taught a continuation of what they have already begun to learn. We will discuss techniques for playing the clarinet, and I will introduce them to more advanced pieces of music. They will use Rubank Intermediate Method for B Flat Clarinet (again I have no affiliation with this company). We will move at a pace comfortable for the students.

Beginner students will need to purchase Essential Elements 2000: Comprehensive Band Method: B Flat Clarinet Book 1. Intermediate students will need to purchase Rubank Intermediate Method for B Flat Clarinet.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
