US Grade 3
This 10 week hands-on and academically rigorous program will cover grade 3, term 2 curriculum. Based on literature, classes encourage critical thinking and curiosity about the world, nature, and communities we live within. Students are gently introduced to new concepts in grammar, phonics, spelling, and writing, and they will be given lots of opportunity to practise their new skills. Good writers take time to develop. Homework Offered
Homework will be assigned. Students' work will be assessed and returned with written feedback.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will complete an end-of-term assessment.Grades Offered
Students will be awarded grades to track progress. There will be an assessment at the end of the term which will be assigned for homework and this will be graded. Included will be a reading assessment which will be reassessed later in the term 4 end-of-term assessment to compare scores. A certificate will be awarded once the student has successfully completed the full grade 3 program, which includes term 1, term 2, term 3, and term 4.
