Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Before I was a virtual teacher, I was an elementary Adaptive Special Education teacher and Emotionally Behavior Disorder teacher. I have experience teaching math, reading, writing, STEM, science, social studies, and behavior. I recievied my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Washburn University and my Master's degree in Adaptive Special Education from Fort Hays University
My classes are based on needs my students needed more work on in the public school system. Such as reading strategies, writing, and math, Also I will be teaching classes that my students enjoyed such as science experiments and STEM activities.
If I am not teaching I am being a mommy to my two boys or I am outside enjoying nature
As a teacher I believe that everyone is able to learn and succeed you just have to figure out how the child learns. That child may learn kinetically where he or she needs to move around, visually, or auditory. No matter what it is it is my job to find what helps your child learn and we will use their strengths in order to grow and succeed in the classroom.
If your student has an IEP or 504 plan, please let me know before class if you wish for any accommodations to be put in place and I would be happy to do so!*
If I am not teaching I am being a mommy to my two boys or I am outside gardening or walking
