Class Experience
In this STEM Course, we will explore science, technology, engineering and maths each week through challenges and different questions such as ‘how is tomato sauce made?’ And ‘how does a piano work?’ Each class will include a range of teaching methods and activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Classes will include experiments, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. What is taught in this course? Week 1 - How is bread made and sliced? Week 2 - How do geckos feet work? Week 3 - How do submarines work? Week 4 - How do digital cameras work? Week 5 - How do fitness trackers work? Week 6 - How do trebuchets work? Week 7 - How is bubblegum made? Week 8 - How do solar panels work? Week 9 - How do chopsticks work? Week 10 - Why don't cranes fall over? Further classes will be added. Classes will include all elements of STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. These are all areas of learning that our kids need to be comfortable with to excel in the future. STEM makes creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors. Please note, there will be reading and writing tasks in some classes. There will also be maths challenges that suit the theme of the week. Please do check the whole description when choosing this course for your learner. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
