From Spotify To The Stage: Creating Your Own Jukebox Musical
In this 6-week course, students will create a pitch for a brand new jukebox musical based on the musical artist or decade of their choice. Will they be able to get their potential backers to fund their imaginary musical? Join us and see!

Beginner Level
In this exciting and dynamic class, students will go through the process of developing a pitch for a new jukebox musical. In the final session, they will present their proposal to the class and see if their imaginary backers are willing to fund their show on Broadway! Session 1: Introduction To Jukebox Musicals -Miss Jess will discuss the history and elements of the jukebox musical. -Students will participate in a discussion about the merits of a jukebox musical vs a musical with original...
Miss Jess holds a Master's Degree in Theater and has nearly twenty years of experience as a teaching artist. She created the DIY Jukebox Musical project while teaching high school drama, and it was a crowd-pleaser every year!
